The Forum connects entrepreneurs, creatives, and investors from Singapore and Indonesia to explore halal business, lifestyle, fashion, wellness, and cross-border trade opportunities.
Featuring the SELOKAL Marketplace 2025 and sessions spotlighting women entrepreneurs, the Forum empowers SMEs to scale regionally and expand in ASEAN’s growing halal creative economy.
SMCCI Leads Business Mission to Sarawak to Deepen Regional Trade and Unlock East Malaysia Market Opportunities
The Singapore Malay Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SMCCI), in partnership with the Sarawak Trade and Tourism Office Singapore (STATOS), successfully concluded a Business Mission to Sarawak from 21–23 September 2025. The mission gathered over 20 Singaporean delegates from sectors including education, healthcare, halal F&B, logistics, construction, digital technology, and the creative industry. Through B2B networking sessions, industry visits, and dialogues with Sarawak government agencies, SMCCI facilitated new cross-border business opportunities and market insights. The mission reaffirms SMCCI’s commitment to empowering Singapore SMEs, promoting ASEAN connectivity, and driving regional growth through strategic partnerships.
Elegant Group-CALX-SMCCI Consortium Awarded Tender for Redevelopment of Tanjong Katong Complex
The Singapore Malay Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SMCCI), through SMCCI Enterprise Pte Ltd, is part of the joint consortium awarded the redevelopment of Tanjong Katong Complex (TKC) alongside Elegant Group and CALX Consulting. More than a landmark renewal, the project celebrates Malay-Muslim heritage, unity, and entrepreneurship. The new TKC will integrate community institutions, cultural spaces, and a 1,500 sqm hub for Malay/Muslim entrepreneurs and heritage trades. This collaboration underscores SMCCI’s commitment to inclusive economic growth, cultural preservation, and empowering the Malay-Muslim business ecosystem through strategic partnerships and place-making initiatives.
