Attendees of Makan & Mesra Raya 2026.
SMCCI recently brought together 100 members, partners, dignitaries, and stakeholders at Makan & Mesra Raya 2026. Set against the festive backdrop of Hari Raya, the gathering was a meaningful reminder of the strength of community, the spirit of enterprise, and the value of collaboration within the Malay/Muslim business ecosystem.Â
This year’s celebration was especially significant as it marked the official opening of SMCCI’s second office at Grantral Mall. Designed as a vibrant, collaborative space, the new office will serve as a hub for events, hot desking, and product showcases, creating more opportunities for businesses to connect, be seen, and grow together.Â
As businesses navigate an increasingly dynamic landscape, the event provided a timely platform for members to reconnect, exchange ideas, and explore new possibilities. SMCCI continues to support a growing and diverse network of enterprises, responding to the evolving need for platforms that go beyond networking: enabling real collaboration, visibility, and access to opportunities.Â
Gracing the event, SMCCI Patron and Senior Minister of State Zaqy Mohamad shared that the opening of the new office reflects SMCCI’s ongoing commitment to strengthening its support for members and advancing its role as a long-term partner to the business community.Â
SMCCI President Abdul Malik Hassan also highlighted the significance of the new space, noting that it represents an important step forward in the Chamber’s journey — one that creates more room for ideas, partnerships, and impactful initiatives to take shape.Â

Enhancing the Member ExperienceÂ
At the event, SMCCI also unveiled its new membership card, an initiative aimed at enhancing how members engage with the Chamber’s ecosystem.Â
Available in both physical and digital formats, the card is designed to provide seamless access to SMCCI’s programmes, networks, and opportunities. As part of this rollout, a special first-year membership rate of $299 will be introduced, with annual renewals at $250. The initiative will be formally launched at the upcoming Annual General Meeting in June 2026.Â
Looking ahead, SMCCI is also exploring how emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence can further enhance member experience. From improving digital presence to enabling round-the-clock support, these efforts aim to make it easier for businesses to access not only SMCCI’s services, but also relevant government policies, incentives, and resources — all in a practical and meaningful way.Â
Looking ForwardÂ
As SMCCI expands its physical presence and strengthens its offerings, the Chamber continues to deepen its role in supporting businesses through change. By building capabilities, opening doors to new opportunities, and fostering stronger connections, SMCCI remains committed to empowering businesses towards sustainable growth.Â
